Introduction
This experiment aims to verify the heating effect of carbon fiber heating tubes on wooden sticks in a vacuum environment.
Experiment Results
In the experiment, it was observed that after powering the carbon fiber heating tube in a vacuum environment for 1 minute: the tube successfully heated the wooden sticks. At a distance of 3.5 cm from the heating tube, the wooden stick turned black, indicating that within 1 minute, the temperature at a distance of 3.5 cm from the heating tube could reach 380°C in a vacuum environment. Due to budget constraints, only this single test was conducted, and other items were not tested.
However, based on the image after baking for 1 minute, it can be inferred that if the baking time were extended, the surface of the wooden stick would be completely carbonized. The cracking of the wooden stick is due to the excessively high temperature and rapid heating rate.
Additional Information
Using pine wood as an example, when the carbonization temperature reaches 380°C, the carbon content is 76%. At 500°C, the carbon content reaches 85%, and when the temperature reaches 600–700°C, the carbon content reaches 92%.
