Ceramic Head Installation Position on Carbon Fiber Heating Tubes
A ceramic head is installed at the lead position of carbon fiber heating tubes. This ceramic head serves as an insulation barrier to prevent electric leakage and also protects the quartz tube. The most common ceramic heads are divided into round and square types based on the lead-out direction of the heating tube. Round ceramic heads are used for horizontally lead-out heating tubes, while square ceramic heads are used for vertically lead-out heating tubes. Today, we will introduce some parameters of these insulating ceramic heads.
1. Installation Diagram of Carbon Fiber Heating Tube
Installation Method: When installing, use an M4 drill bit to drill holes and use rivets to mount the special installation clamps for carbon fiber heating tubes onto the fixed sealing plate. Then, clip the heating tube into the installation clamps, as shown in the diagram.
2. Dimensions of Insulating Ceramic Heads for Carbon Fiber Heating Tubes
1. Square Ceramic Head Installation Dimensions:
Square ceramic heads, also known as flat ceramic heads, are insulating ceramic heads used with heating tubes that have vertical lead-out connections on both ends. The ceramic head is a rectangular solid with dimensions of 21mm in length, 17mm in width, and 9mm in height.
2. Round Ceramic Head Dimensions:
For a 12mm carbon fiber heating tube, the corresponding ceramic head has an outer diameter of 16mm, an inner diameter of 13.5mm, a large circle length of 21.5mm, and a small circle length of 5mm.
For a 14mm heating tube, the corresponding ceramic head has an outer diameter of 18mm, an inner diameter of 15mm, a large circle length of 23mm, and a small circle length of 5mm.

Steatite Porcelain:
Steatite porcelain is made from the mineral steatite (3MgO.4SiO2.H2O) as the main raw material, with the addition of appropriate amounts of clay and BaTiO3, mixed, finely ground, formed, and sintered at high temperatures. The main crystal phase of steatite porcelain is protopyroxene, which is magnesium metasilicate (chemical formula MgSiO3). It is a type of ceramic with excellent electrical properties and low cost, commonly used in high-frequency equipment as insulating components.
